WHAT IT IS

Look out over valleys with medieval towns and castle surrounded by the intense whiteness of Monte Amiata’s ski slopes.

PROGRAMME
  • Day 1

    Arrival

    Guests will check in to their rooms on arrival. We serve an aperitif in the barand then gather in the dining room for dinner of traditional local dishes accompanied by Montecucco Amiata DOC wines. After dinner a slide show with music will introduce our guests to the rich variety of the area.

  • Day 2

    Skiing

    Buffet breakfast followed by skiing. Lunch at a self-service restaurant on the slopes. Further skiing in the afternoon. At the end of the day, after a good shower, we meet as usual, by the bar for an aperitif and then dinner.This evening our traditional dishes will be accompanied by wines from the Perazzeta estate, one of the most prestigious of Montecucco DOC. After dinnera local producr will offer a tasting of his liqueurs made in Abbadia San Salvatore with plants from Amiata. His introductory talk on the plants of the area is most interesting as he is a great expert. There will then be a performance by “I Cardellini del Fontanino”, a folk group from Castel del Piano: a solo voice singing songs which have become an integral part of the local culture is accompanied by one yodeller and six others.

  • Day 3

    Skiing and departure

    Buffet breakfast followed by skiing. Lunch today will again be at the Self service restaurant on the slopes. Guests’ rooms will be available to them until 5.00 p.m. to enable them to shower and change on return from skiing before departure.
